Toddler Finds Label Maker, Certifies Every Room in House as Official Department

After locating Dad's label maker, three-year-old Maisie spent Tuesday morning reorganizing the family home into a fully labeled corporate headquarters with strict departmental policies.

The Hargrove household was operating smoothly until Tuesday morning, when three-year-old Maisie discovered her father's label maker tucked behind the printer. Within forty-five minutes, the family's split-level home had become a fully certified office complex, complete with signage.

Ground Floor Operations

The kitchen was the first to receive its designation. Maisie carefully pressed a laminated strip reading 'SNAK DEPERTMENT' onto the refrigerator handle, then followed up with 'WATUR COOLER' on the dog's bowl and 'KONFRENCE ROOM' on the breakfast nook. The dog, a beagle named Waffles, was issued a badge that said 'SEKURITEE.'

Upper Management Takes the Stairs

The second floor saw even more aggressive reorganization. The master bedroom became 'CEO OFIS — NO ENTRY,' a policy Maisie enforced by standing in the hallway with her arms out. The bathroom was labeled 'EMPLOYE WELLNESS CENTER,' and her own bedroom received the title 'RESERCH AND DEVLUPMENT,' which she explained meant toys. The hallway linen closet was designated 'IT DEPERTMENT,' though no one was assigned to it and the door remained closed.

Human Resources Issues a Statement

Dad, officially labeled 'DAD (JANETOR),' attempted to reclaim the label maker after his travel mug received a sticker reading 'COMPANY PROPERTY — DO NOT TAKE HOME.' Maisie declined his appeal, citing an official memo she had drawn in crayon and taped to the staircase railing. Mom, labeled 'MANEGER OF THINGS,' was asked to cosign the memo. She did, because it was faster than explaining.

End-of-Day Review

By dinnertime, the dining room had been christened 'ALL-HANDS MEETNG,' and the label maker's battery finally gave out mid-sticker, leaving the garage half-designated as 'LOGIS.' An emergency request to replace the batteries was submitted to the Janetor and approved after snack negotiations. The Hargrove family is currently accepting applications for the open IT Department position. The closet is very quiet and has good shelf space.
