What Happened
A dad reportedly opened a driveway marina after testing an inflatable pool float and deciding the family needed boarding procedures before anyone could approach the sprinkler.
The float was supposed to be inflated for the weekend. Dad plugged in the air pump, watched the giant ring rise from the pavement, and immediately announced that vessel inspection would begin after lunch.
At first, the family played along. Then he placed two sandals beside the float and called them Dock A and Dock B. A folding chair became the harbor office. The garden hose was renamed channel authority, even though it was coiled under a tomato cage and had not consented to management.
Things became less graceful when Dad attempted what he called a dry launch. The float stuck to the warm driveway, squeaked loudly, and rotated half a turn while Dad held a pool noodle like a ceremonial oar. A neighbor walking by asked whether permits were required. Dad said only for snacks.
The float eventually made it to the pool, where it performed normally. The driveway marina remains unofficial, although the folding chair still has a towel on it and Dad has not ruled out evening departures.
