What Happened
A toddler testing a new bubble wand accidentally covered the front porch in bubbles and immediately declared the area an airport.
The first flight was announced for a stuffed bear traveling from the sofa to the flowerpot. A paper sign labeled the doormat “Gate A,” while a garden chair became international arrivals because it was, according to the toddler, “far away.”
Family members were assigned jobs. One person checked tickets made from sticky notes. Another waved a spatula as a runway signal. The dog was denied entry after attempting to eat three bubbles and was moved to baggage handling.
The operation became more official when a neighbor heard a boarding announcement and asked whether the airport had snacks. The toddler answered yes, then charged everyone one cracker for landing fees.
After the bubble solution ran out, the airport closed for weather. The stuffed bear remained delayed near Gate A, but eventually received priority transport in a laundry basket. The family cleaned the porch and kept the signs because nobody could agree which department was responsible for recycling them.
